Naturopathy in Himalayas
Yoga, Meditation & Naturopathy is the
best way to clean body soul and mind Yoga &
Naturopathy is a very wide subject; our trust
(Karma Yoga Ashram Trust) has defined this subject
in a very beautiful way. At our Ashram we have
different courses and treatments through Yoga
& Naturopathy. The Ashram is situated at the
foothills of Himalayas and just near the city of
saints, RISHIKESH, near the holy river
GANGA.
We have basic, intermediate and advanced
courses on the subject which starts from September
to April for 21 days each conducted by the experts
in Yoga &
Naturopathy.
The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit
word ?Yuj?, which means to join or to unite.Yoga
is the ancient science. The practice of Yoga
integrates the body, mind and soul. Yoga can be
practiced by all age groups. The ancient seers
laid down four ways by which the practitioner can
attain Samadhi or spiritual salvation which is the
ultimate goal of yoga.

Whereby the pupils learn to clean the body,
controls and senses and restrain the fluctuation
of the mind.
The whole courses are
designed and based on the Patanjali Asthanga Yoga
propounded in the Yoga Sutras. The concept of Yoga
is based on Shrimad Bhagwat Gita which is
considered the greatest literature in yoga.
Besides thus the practitioners will be introduced
to Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika and Gherand
Samhita. This leads to self realization and
understanding, the true meaning of Nirvana or
Moksha, which is freedom from the cycle of births
and
deaths.
Proper practice of Yoga asanas control and
regulate the endocrinal system and hence plays an
important role in gaining good command of one?s
own feelings, especially negative feelings,
especially negative feelings like anger and
jealousy.
What is Yoga Yoga is a
study which uses movement, stillness,
concentration, release and abandon to help you get
and stay in touch with yourself. Some say it
keeps you in touch with the inter-dependent web of
existence. Others say it's a great workout,
reduces the effects of stress, stretches and frees
your muscles, teach you ways to concentrate better
throughout your day. Some athletes and
performers study Yoga to stretch and tone muscles
hardened by heavy use. (Some construction
workers do this, too!) Many use Yoga to help
them recover from injuries and avoid future injury
because it's a balanced approach to simultaneously
improve strength, flexibility, balance and
concentration. |

Naturopathy
The word naturo means ?Nature?
which means treatment from natural thing i.e. the
five elements which are present in nature i.e.
earth, water, air, fire and ether.
As we know that any kind of misbalance in
the nature five element whether by increasing or
by decreasing cause heavy calamities so do with
our body as it is also a part of nature and five
element only .And any kind of misbalance causes
?disease?
Nature cure is a very old science of
healing and art of living life in harmony with
constructive principles of nature on physical,
mental, moral and spiritual planes of living .we
can find number of references in our Vedas and
other ancient texts ?The morbid matter theory?
Panch karma and other concept upon which Nature
cure is based are already available in old texts
which indicate that these modalities were
widely Practiced in ancient India.
Some of the basic Principle of nature cure
is:-

Body heals itself every living matter
(cell) is endowed with the instinct of self
?preservation.

Main cause of disease is innervations
i.e. Fatigue of nervous system

Deposit of toxic matter

Acquit disease is a remedial effort.

Even Louis Pasture father of germs Theory
had to be admitting end of his life that the
soil is everything, the microorganism is
nothing. The germs can not grow or multiply in
the healthy blood stream.

keeps the balance between nutrition and

Yoga Programme |
|
Day 01 |
Welcome on arrival. Briefing about the
area and introduction to Nearby places of
interest. Introduction to do?s and don?ts of the
Programme and familiarization with the yoga
teachers and other Personnel at workshop and
setting down the accommodation. After light
refreshments, every member will have a
familiarization discussion with the experts so
as to make him/her more comfortable. An
individual file will be opened and will have
the data of first day of the camp the diet
plan and yoga postures can be decided as per the
person?s
history. |
| Day 02 to Day 10 |
Daily routine. |
| Day 11 |
An excursion will be organized to near by
places of spiritual Geographical
interests. |
| Day 12 |
Fresh data?s of the individuals will be
noted between discussions with experts. After
analysis of this data the regular routine of day
2 to day 10 shall continue with yoga lessons
included for specific purposes as per analysis
of each individual. |

Same routine as described
above. |

Trek to some divine
place. |

- last days, the final data will be
checked and inputs will be noted as the
aspirants. |
