White Water
Rafting
Experience the unforgettable thrills and
excitement of white water rafting down the
Bhagirathi, Alaknanda and Ganga rivers. Hear the
distant whisper of approaching rapids break into a
thundering roar as you are expertly guided down the
rivers. The exhilaration of crossing the rapids
interspersed with stretches of clam serenity is unique.
The resounding thunder is replaced by a peaceful silence
as you slowly glide past picturesque forests and sandy
beaches, inter spaced with mountain villages. The day
ends at a well-organized camp, a cheerful campfire and
you can relax, as the eternal serenity of the mountains
possesses your soul.

Amateurs and first timers have a wide choice of
river running expeditions. Given below are some of the
expeditions offered by us.
1.

A
gentle raft ride for two-four hours covering a distance
of about 8 to 12 km's. We float by the temples, ashrams,
Yoga centers and city of Rishikesh.
2.
Overnight getaway trip (2 days-1 night - Grade

A
quick get away from civilization into the lap of the
Himalayas. We spend two days running some of the most
exciting rapids on the Ganga, including the ?Three Blind
Mice?, ?Crossfire?, ?Return to Sender?, ?Roller coaster?
and ?Golf Course?. There is an overnight stay at our
tented camp, close to the River Ganga. You are welcome
to try your hand at kayaking on a placid stretch of the
river close to camp.

Days & 2-Nights Grade III)
A
more exciting trip that combines the overnight getaway
trip with rafting the most exciting rapid on the Ganga
called ?The Wall? (Grade-IV)

Ganga Expedition (4 Days & 3-Nights Grade

The
Ganga expedition trip starts at Devprayag, where the
Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers merge to form the sacred
River Ganga. This is a fully self-supported trip, and we
carry tents, foodstuff and drinks on the
rafts.
5.
Alaknanda/Ganga expedition (5 Days & 4 Nights Grade
IV)
In
1977, Sir Edmund Hillary led the ?Ocean to Sky?
expedition up the beautiful Alaknanda Gorge. We put in
at Srinagar 30 km's. off Devprayag. This is a relatively
mild trip as compared to the Bhagirathi River. It is
possible to extend this trip by a day, by starting the
expedition at Rudraprayag.
6.
Bhagirathi/Ganga expedition (6 Days & 5 Nights Grade
IV)
The
Bagirathi river trip is reputed to be one of the best
river expeditions in Asia. It combines a serious white
water adventure with a brief glimpse of life in isolated
Himalayan villages. The expedition starts at Tehri, 150
km's. Down stream from the river?s glacial source. The
next three days are spent running the rapids (including
a 15ft. waterfall) at Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi
merges with the Alaknanda to become the sacred Ganga. We
finish the expedition at
Rishikesh.
